This granite Garden statue is a one of a kind sculpture, hand carved by the artists of south India using a hammer and chisel.

Special Features:  The original Kamakura, Daibutsu Buddha is the world's largest bronze statue of Buddha.   The statue measures 53 feet high and weighs 452 tons.  Lotus Sculpture's Daibutsu Buddha is no less impressive!  The granite sculpture has incredible presence.  The size of the piece is breathtaking.  The sheer mass of the Buddha and breadth of his shoulders is a wonder. 

The details are so perfect hat it is hard to think of this piece as a granite sculpture.  The hands, robe face and hair all carry a sense of reality and life in them.  The piece was carved in two separate pieces; the Buddha is one piece and the base is a separate piece.  The piece took 10 months to carve.
