This granite Garden statue is a one of a kind sculpture, hand carved by the artists of south India using a hammer and chisel.

For both indoor and outdoor use.

Special Features:

A perfect way to enlighten your garden!  The Buddha has wonderful defined features.  The urna, third eye, of the Buddha is polished so that it is a darker green than the rest of the piece that is rough cut and thus lighter green. 

About Green Granite:

Green granite is an beautiful as well as dense stone that has some special features.  It is capable of a variety of finishes which can give it a variety of different color possibilities.  It can be carved with a rough surface giving it a very faint light green color.  Or it can be polished to give the piece a dark green finish.  When the piece is wet the stone comes alive with a deep rich dark green which almost makes you pray for rain!   Green granite is even denser/harder than black granite making it extremely difficult and time consuming to carve.  The density of granite makes green granite sculpture perfect for any garden because it can be left outside in extreme heat and extreme cold for years without care.  While visiting temples in south India made of stone it is easy to see the parts of the temple made from green granite because it looks like it was carved yesterday rather than 800 years ago!
