Special Features: The three heads of Trimukha Ganesh depict the three states of being inherent in any manifestation, which are named the Guna. In his 6 hands he holds, 2 small vessels of nectar, 2 axes, his tusk and a mango. Ganesh's trunk is curled around a second mango. The two axes symbolize the destruction of desires and attachments, and all their results like troubles and sorrows. Both axes have long tassels that hang below the handles.
Ganesh is seated upon a blooming lotus flower. His vehicle or vahana, a rat is seated with a crumb in his hands looking up at his lord, Ganesh. Since rats are seen as being capable of gnawing their way through most things, the rat symbolizes Ganesh's ability to destroy every obstacle. Ganesh is large and very impressive. The color of the wood is a deep, dark brown.
