This colored marble statue is a one of a kind sculpture, hand carved by the artists of south India.
Special Features: Ganesh is often depicted playing music. Ganesh, like Krishna, affirms life by celebrating in it's beauty. He is shown playing the tabla with both of his hands actively playing the instrument. A 5 headed cobra looms over head with its body coiling around the base. A rat is on the front of the lotus petal base.
A note on the artist: The artist is a very special contemporary artist with a very unique style. He takes classical figures and motifs and molds them together. What is produced is completely unique sculpture that rips down the barriers of classical south Indian sculpture. He is a contemporary force that is taking modern Indian sculpture to a new level.
Care: The piece is for indoor use only. Dust the piece as needed using a cotton piece of cloth. You can really make it shine if you use a cloth to buff the surface.
