“Beautiful goddess seated on a chariot, delighted by songs on lustful elephants, bedecked with lotuses, pearls and gems, lustrous as fire, radiant as gold, resplendent as the sun, calm as the moon, mistress of cows and horses – take away poverty and misfortune bring joy, riches, harvest and children.”
Special Features: The focal point of this panel is a carving of Lakshmi seated on a lotus base holding two lotus flowers surrounded by two elephants. Elephants are a symbol of wealth. Her front two hands are in the position of giving boons to her devotees. Surrounding her godly halo is a garland of sage. Her breasts are exposed which give her a more motherly appearance. Below the two elephants are two lions as well as a small attendant. To the left and right of Lakshmi are many figures playing instruments, riding horses, and killing demons. The piece has a total of 23 figures in the carving.
Hooks can be added to the piece on the customer's request so that the panel can be hung a on a wall.
Care: Dust the piece as needed. You can use a wood cleaner to really make it shine. Mainly for indoor use.
