Special Features:  The Buddha is resting on his side with His long slender hand holding up His head.  He has a large circular urna between His eyebrows.  Urna is the 31st physical characteristic of Buddha. It symbolizes and radiates wisdom.  It is also a symbol for a third eye, which represents the power to emit a beam of light and illuminate the world.  This is huge contrast to the 3rd eye of Shiva that He uses to destroy and recreate the world.  The large flame atop the Buddha's head symbolizes His spiritual energy.

The piece is carved from one single piece of wood.  There is a wire on the back enabling the panel to be hung on a wall like you would hang a picture.  The gold color of the Buddha is all real gold leaf.  It is not gold paint!

This quality product is entirely hand-crafted and painted by the rural villages of northern Thailand.  They use the ancient Lanna techniques, that have been handed down from generation to generation, since the early days of the Kingdom of Lanna to create this item.  Every piece is therefore , truly unique in its own accord, design and carving.
