This granite Garden statue is a one of a kind sculpture, hand carved by the artists of south India using a hammer and chisel. 

Special Features:  The focus of any Buddha sculpture is the serene expression on the face of the Buddha.  Just by looking at the Buddha's face you catch a glimpse of what lies at the heart of Buddhist teachings.  His face has a Ghandaran style as the hair is flowing with the uppermost part perched up in a bun.  He has a circular urna between his eyebrows a symbol of his ability to see the true nature of reality.  His gossamer robes outline his entire body and ripple like waves as they trace their way down his contours.  They appear to be made of the finest silk rather than carved from stone!  His hands and feet have all the lifelines and natural proportions of any man.  In his right hand he holds a lotus flower.

About Black Granite: Indian black granite is a wonderful stone. It is capable of a variety of finishes which can give it a variety of different color possibilities. It is possible to see 4-5 different colors on a single piece depending on the degree of polish or roughness of the stone. Indian black granite is among the best granite in the world sought after by artists globally. Unlike inferior quality granite, Indian granite is extremely dense and without impurities that plague other stones. The density of granite makes a granite sculpture perfect for any garden because it can be left outside in extreme heat and extreme cold for years without care.

Care:  Not much is needed to care for this piece.  Simply wash off using soap and water once a year or as needed.  Extreme cold and extreme heat will not affect the statue.

Shipping: This piece is currently in our warehouse in India and will be shipped to our warehouse in Greenwich, Ct.  Lotus Sculpture pays for the shipping to Greenwich, Ct.  This process takes 50 days.  The client then pays for shipping from Greenwich, Ct to the final destination.  Shipping is calculated after the purchase.
