Beautiful Dancing Bronze Ardhanari Sculpture 30"

This hand made, bronze sculpture is a one-of-a-kind statue, hand cast by the artists of south India.

Special Features:  Ardhanari or Ardhanareeswar is the synthesis of Shiva and Parvati into one form. In Ardhanari sculpture the body of Shiva has taken on the form of his wife Parvati; Shiva on the right and Parvati on the left. Shiva's side of this sculpture has taken on the of dancing form of Nataraja. This is a living example of why Shiva is known as the role model for husbands because he has given his body to his wife absorbing her within him.  Shiva's body is covered with cobras encircling his arm, his waist, and his leg.  The left side of Parvati has all the womanly attributes of Parvati; her large exposed breast, and her customary leggings. 

Care:  Regular dusting should keep the piece clean.   If you want to keep the piece looking new you can use a cotton rag and some coconut oil to regularly clean the piece.  The statue can be used for both indoor and outdoor use.
