Wax Model for World Record 22' Nataraja
A message from Kyle, Founder of Lotus Sculpture: Ever
since I first met the artists of the Bronze Creative 8 years ago they
have spoke of making the largest Nataraja ever cast. It is wonderful
for me to see them realize their dreams and ambitions. Each year of
visiting India I have seen their work get better and better. The
beauty, power and delicate nature of each Hindu God is evident in each
murti they create in bronze. They truly bring each Hindu God to life.
To see this amazing wax model of Nataraja is a testament to their
dedication to their art work and to the beauty of Shiva!
Special Features:
The wax model of Nataraja is 17 feet tall. Around the arch are 108
figures of Gana, Nandi and cobras. The pedestal is not completed. It
will be 5 feet tall and have 25 avatars of lord Shiva that are each 2 feet
tall. The pictures are of the first stage of the lost wax method. After this stage they will need to do the wax model for the base, make the earthen mold, cast the statue, then finally carve the details and color the sculpture. Expected completion date is June, 2011.
