This Hindu painting is one of a kind, hand painted by the artists of Rajasthan, India.
Special Features: "Gaja" in Sanskrit means elephant. The seated, cross legged figure of Lakshmi is flanked by two elephants. Lakshmi is sometimes depicted in painting with two elephants surrounding her. The elephants are a symbol of fertility and strength. Lakshmi is seated in a lotus flower, a symbol of beauty, prosperity and fertility. Her other two hands are in the abhaya mudra showing her devotees that have nothing to fear from the goddess of wealth. In her other two hands she holds a string of prayer beads and two flowers.
Care & Framing: Do not let the painting have any contact with liquids. Painting can be displayed as is, it does not come framed. You could elect to take it to a local framing store or ask your local photo studio for suggestions.
